Diversity in World Teleport Association Finalists for 2009


WTA Assoc World Teleport Association (WTA) announced the finalists for its 2009 Teleport Awards for Excellence, then from this group of finalists winners will be named in each of three categories on March 25, 2009 at the Association's 14th annual Teleport Awards for Excellence Ceremony and Luncheon at SATELLITE 2009 in Washington, DC. The association's Teleport Executive of the Year recipient will be announced separately on Wednesday March 11th.

The 2009 luncheon, sponsored by SES, will be attended by over 150 members, guests and representatives from World Teleport Association. Attendees include teleport, satellite and content distribution technology industry executives, as well as previous awards recipients from around the world. Stewart Sanders, Senior Vice President for Customer Services Delivery at SES ENGINEERING will give the Host's Welcome and present the awards to the recipients. The 2009 event will be emceed by WTA's Director of Development Louis Zacharilla for the 13th time. Other event sponsors include Newtec and Crystal Computer.

According to World Teleport Association Executive Director, Robert Bell, "It is rewarding to see so many countries and diverse types of operators represented in our awards program. Each of the finalists for the 2009 awards has proven their dedication to providing the highest level of service. The changing dynamics of the global teleport sector were reflected in the applications and the emerging technologies which teleport companies and their technology partners introduced to the market. The finalists for WTA's Teleport Awards have each made significant contributions to the success of the industry and their customers are well-served."
