Arqiva... A Cycling Uplink (SatBroadcasting™—SNG)

[SatNews] Arqiva provided an HD SNG truck to uplink coverage of the Tour de France, using capacity on the Intelsat 905 satellite.

The SNG truck included two framerate converters, which converted the signal to a United States HD output. Malcolm Campbell, Commercial Director at Arqiva Satellite & Media, said, “This is the fourth consecutive year we have supported coverage of the Tour de France via capacity on Intelsat satellites. Our fleet of SNG trucks feature state-of-the-art technology including framerate converters which enable us to convert content into any international format at source, thereby maximising the quality of the feed for broadcast.” Arqiva has a fleet of SNG trucks and more than 100 Earth stations at multiple teleports and regularly enables the managed global delivery of live and special events, such as major sports tournaments.
