Applied Satellite Engineering (ASE) has started shipping two of their Newest Docking Stations — the DK 075 and DK 050.
These Docking Stations are for the newest Iridium 9555 handheld satellite phones and allow the phone to be used anywhere, whether a vehicle, motor vessel, yacht, and sailboat. The ASE Docking Stations also provide for indoor use for corporate centers for connection to remote staff members, or simply to ensure communication capabilities in case of an emergency. The Docking Stations provide instant, non-terrestrial communication when the normal communication infrastructure has failed or is overloaded. ASE customers include maritime, defense, NGOs, and Emergency First Responders. The ASE Docking Stations can also seamlessly connect to the Iridium network via any standard office or land-line or wireless analog phone. The ASE Docking stations also provide data links through the Iridium network.
