Crawford Satellite Services' Transportable Earth Station division renews contract with United Space Alliance (USA) to cover shuttle launches scheduled through 2010 live from Cape Canaveral, Florida. The Company provides transmission services for space shuttle feeds via three Ku-band trucks, with locations at the Kennedy Space Center, Jupiter, Forida, and Wallops Island, Virginia.

Crawford is primarily responsible for transmitting the video feed from the External Tank (ET) Observation Camera back to the television control center. With this continued coverage, the Company offers a real-time solution for NASA's global content distribution needs making missions available for many to view. "By monitoring a shuttle during its launch, officials can evaluate the condition of the orbiter," says Paul Edwards, director of transportables for Crawford. "This is one more way to ensure the safety of our U.S. astronauts, and it's an honor to be a part of that effort."
