Integral Systems, Inc., (Nasdaq:ISYS) has entered into an agreement with Aleut Communications Services to relocate the operational satellite ground system equipment of National Oceanic and
Atmospheric Administration's (NOAA) Fairbanks Satellite Operations Facility (FSOF). Under the terms of the FSOF Relocation contract, Integral Systems will
provide the engineering services and expertise to plan and execute moving all of the equipment to NOAA's new, modernized facility, without
disrupting operations.
Working closely with Aleut and NOAA, the team will disassemble, move, reassemble and test NOAA's critical satellite ground system equipment, without the loss of any data. Both facilities are located in Fairbanks, Alaska. The relocated systems support a variety of important NOAA missions, including the Defense Meteorological Satellite Program (DMSP),Television Infrared Operational Satellite (TIROS), Geostationary Observational Environmental Satellite (GOES), Ocean Surface Topography Mission (OSTM), Initial Joint Polar-Orbiting Operational Satellite System (IJPS), the Constellation Observing System for Meteorology, Ionosphere and Climate (COSMIC) as well as other antenna and ground processing systems.
