Globe Wireless... Making Maritime Sense (SATCOM)

[SatNews] No matter the hub, this announced update is definitely relegated to improved performance.

Globe Wireless has announced the upcoming update release of GlobeRydex, which is one of the most trusted ship/shore satellite communications solutions for the maritime industry, with more than 2,500 ships using the software. Customers use the GlobeRydex software either through the Public Hub environment (a service where ships connect to a shoreside hub managed by Globe Wireless) or a Private Hub configuration (where the shoreside server is kept and maintained at the customer's premises). Since acquiring Seawave in August 2007, Globe Wireless has released numerous updates to the Rydex software, including support for Windows Vista and V7, as well as a number of enhancements. This next release of GlobeRydex will support Windows 64-bit operating systems and include additional features and functions. Ken Jones, CEO of Globe Wireless, said, “We fully intend to support the GlobeRydex product and continue to improve and enhance it into the future. We are committed to servicing our loyal Rydex Public and Private Hub users. Additionally, GlobeRydex is actively promoted to new customers as part of the Globe iFusion, the Inmarsat’s 2010 Martime Solution of the Year.”
