[SatNews] Arqiva is to provide Universal Networks International with uplink and Eurobird capacity for the Hallmark UK channel. Malcolm Campbell, Commercial Director at Arqiva Satellite & Media, said, “This is the third channel we service directly for Universal Networks International and we are delighted that they have chosen to expand their services with us. We will provide backhaul from London’s Chiswick Park using diverse fibre to two of our London POPs and then on to our Bedford Teleport. Here the channel is statistically multiplexed and uplinked onto Eurobird for the BSkyB platform.” Arqiva has the infrastructure and experience to help rights owners, programme makers and broadcasters to create and capture content, and to manage and deliver high quality television around the world. Arqiva currently provides trusted management and delivery of over 400 SD + HD TV channels worldwide.
Arqiva has also launched the US produced Ahl-e-bait TV channel into Europe via its
transatlantic fiber, teleport services, and Hot Bird capacity. This is the fifth US-based Persian language channel in one year to select Arqiva for content distribution. Arqiva has launched Ahl-e-bait on its Hot Bird satellite neighborhood providing a complete
satellite/fiber solution for the Shiite Muslim content channel. Ahl-e-bait, produced in California, will be seen for the first time by Persian-speaking audiences across Europe.
