[SatNews] A major teleport has been given the confidence of a satellite fleet.

SatLink Communications Ltd. today announced it has been appointed by Spacecom, operator of the AMOS satellite fleet, as the prime provider of satellite engineering services including TT&C (Telemetry Tracking & Commanding) and IOT (In Orbit Testing), among others, for the AMOS-5 satellite. SatLink will dedicate 150m2 from its facilities for AMOS-5 ’s satellite management operations, including offices and the satellite’s Master Control Room premises.

SatLink is a teleport entrusted by satellite owners and operators to perform mission critical control services for their satellites. The most popular satellite engineering services the company conducts are TT&C, IOT and CSM services, E.I.R.P. Measurements, Hosting GEO Location Services and Turnkey Projects. SatLink provides these services to SES World Skies, SES Astra, AsiaSat, AMOS and others. For instance, the company provides TT&C services for SES WorldSkies’ NSS6 at 95°E and has lately conducted satellite drifting and TT&C services for Spacecom and other Asian based satellite operators.

AMOS-5 is scheduled to launch later this year to the 17°E orbital position from where it will deliver high-power C-band and Ku-band capacity to the entire African continent with connectivity to Europe and the Middle East.
