
C-COM Satellite Systems Inc. (TSXV: CMI) ("C-COM" or the "Company") has announced today the completion of successful testing of its iNetVu® Ka-band mobile antenna for use in association with United Kingdom based Avanti Communications’ HYLAS satellites to serve the Satellite News Gathering, Cellular Backhaul, Blue Light Emergency Vehicles, Telemedicine, Homeland Security and Military markets. The iNetVu® Ka-band mobile antenna was able to lock-on to the HYLAS 1 satellite 100 percent of the time over a large number of tests, and the average time to acquire and lock onto the satellite was consistently less than 3 minutes.
David Bestwick, Technical Director, said: "The iNetVu® Ka98 mobile antenna, along with its 7024 auto-acquire controller, was able to deliver in excess of 10Mbps upload and 10Mbps download rates with a cost effective 3W transceiver during the tests."
