digiGO! — The Digital (R)evolution — ATB's Digital STB Is The First

ADB logo Advanced Digital Broadcast will deliver its ADB-1100T digital terrestrial STB to Spanish Ikusi — the deal marks a milestone for both companies, as it will be the very first product launched in the Spanish market for DTT pay services and will set the standard to follow.

According to recent figures, DTT penetration in Spain has reached more than 60 percent of TV households and covers 95 percent of the population. Pay DTT services are planned to launch this August and will allow broadcasters to secure extra revenues via pay-per-subscription and pay-per-event offerings. Consumers will have the opportunity to access services from all PayTV providers. The ADB-1100T is a digital terrestrial interactive STB which fully complies with the technical specifications outlined by the Spanish government. The product offers high quality images and supports interactive applications via its embedded MHP middleware, and provides a parental control application and a multi-language on-screen display, among other features. The installation is automatic and the menus are simple and intuitive to ensure that consumers start enjoying their new Digital TV service immediately. The ADB-1100T also provides a full-fledged 7 day Electronic Program Guide.
