[SatNews] WORK Microwave will celebrate 25 years in the satellite industry and will be demonstrating the latest enhancements to its lines of satellite signal and data management solutions for ground station and portable applications. Delivering the highest level of quality in a modular and upgradeable platform, technologically advanced solutions from WORK leverage our longstanding commitment to research and development.
WORK Microwave will unveil its newest range of indoor and outdoor frequency converters that now support Ka-band up to 31 GHz. WORK Microwave recognizes that Ka-band, with its larger amount of available bandwidth, is becoming more and more attractive to satellite service providers as lower and more traditional frequency bands become increasingly congested. The Company will demo its 4G of frequency converters, which feature expanded frequency ranges in all the supported bands (S-, C-, X-, Ku-, K-, and Ka-band). The comprehensive range of industry-leading frequency converters provides customers enormous flexibility when making a purchase decision. WORK Microwave is also a member of the DVB Project consortium, contributing to the development and review of worldwide standards in digital video broadcasting. WORK Microwave's IP modem platform, first introduced in 2010, is being enhanced in 2011. The improvements include a significant increase in packet rate/transmission speed and greater opportunity for users to set their own preferences. In addition, the IP modem platform from WORK Microwave includes both adaptive coding modulation (ACM) and generic stream encapsulation (GSE), contributing to WORK Microwave's leading bandwidth efficiency in this area. Lastly, the DVB-S2 modulator has also been enhanced to provide better signal quality and performance and now includes switchable IF 70/140 MHz and L-band.
