Onward and upward at the Space Foundation in Colorado Springs, Colorado, is Janet P. Stevens, APR, who, as of January 16, is the new director - communications and public outreach. Stevens is responsible for supporting the Space Foundation's mission through relationships with targeted constituent groups, including the media. Stevens, a 30-year public relations professional, most recently was senior vice president - public relations for Idearc, Inc., provider of Superpages.comTM and publisher of Verizon Yellow Pages. 

Prior to that, Stevens held multiple public relations, communications, and advertising positions with GTE and Verizon.  She also served in quality management for Fidelity Investments, a role that grew out of her leadership in GTE Directory's 1994 Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award.
