CBM Gains Access To Intelsat SatTech For IP Platform Services


Intelsat logo Intelsat now has a multi-year agreement whereby the Company will supply global Ku- and C-band transmission facilities for CBM Communications LLC (CBM), an affiliate of Marine Technologies, LLC (MT/C-Comm). CBM/MT/C-Comm will launch its Global Broadband™ IP platform using capacity on eight satellites and Intelsat’s GlobalConnex(sm) (GXS) Network Broadband managed service, which leverages Intelsat’s global teleport, fiber and satellite network. Intelsat’s global infrastructure will allow CBM to provide secure file transfers, content management and on-demand connectivity applications to its maritime customers through its affiliate MT/C-Comm products and services.

Intelsat Network Broadband service, an offering within Intelsat's GXS portfolio of managed services, provides customers with enterprise-grade, faster-than-DSL connectivity, anywhere in the world via Intelsat’s satellites, teleports and fiber network. Customers gain the ability to establish and manage international and regional networks with ease and speed on land and at sea—meeting virtually any communications requirement for voice, data, corporate networks and government applications. Intelsat’s Network Broadband service is an iDirect-based platform for multi-location businesses that demand a seamless platform for converged applications.
