Logos Technologies... Support For Surveillance (UAS/UAV)

[SatNews] Smaller, more capabilities, both good reasons for U.S.Navy incorporation...

Sensors experts at Logos Technologies Inc. in Arlington, Va., will provide the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps with persistent surveillance capability from small unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) under terms of a $15.8 million contract announced last week from the U.S. Office of Naval Research (ONR) in Arlington, Va. ONR officials awarded the research contract to Logos Technologies for the company's Lightweight Expeditionary Persistent Surveillance (LEAPS) technology that provides intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) capability that enables Navy and Marine Corps users to observe, record, and analyze potential enemy activity over areas the size of cities. The Logos Technologies LEAPS is smaller and offers more capabilities than any other similar system that has flown before, company officials say. Logos experts have crafted a LEAPS system that weighs less than 50 pounds, which makes them suitable not only for UAVs, but also for larger manned surveillance aircraft to augment other ISR capability.
