This meeting was culminated with the signature of a new transponder lease contract on Arabsat satellite Badr-5 to broadcast the new Mauritanian television bouquet from the digital broadcasting platform, which will be build by Arabsat in Nouakchott.

His Excellency the Mauritania Minister of Communication and Relations with the Parliament stated that this agreement is a continuation of the unique relationship between Arab Satellite Communications Organization (Arabsat) and the Islamic Republic of Mauritania with the beginning of audio-visual space liberation, which is considered to be an important experience in the nation's media history to provide more freedom in this area.
