Winegard... Homologation Hand-Off (Certification)

[SatNews] Winegard’s WX1200 VSAT antenna system and controller have received...

...Mexico Homologation certification by the Mexican Electronic Standardization and Certification organization. This two-part approval includes certification for the NOM electric safety label and NYCE for the telecommunication radio frequency component issued through COFETEL (Mexican Federal Commission of Telecommunications).

Winegard manufactures a family of rugged VSAT (very small aperture terminal) satellite communications systems that are deployed around the globe. Winegard’s VSAT products are known for being rugged and highly dependable, while offering strong value pricing. Mexico Homologation indicates the Winegard products are compliant with regulations for electric and electronic telecommunication products sold in Mexico. It means that the Winegard VSAT products comply with applicable electromagnetic interference (EMI) and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) requirements. With this approval, these VSAT antennas now hold CE (European Union), GOST-R (Russian commonwealth), Peru Homologation (portions of South America), C-Tick (Australia and New Zealand) and Mexico Homologation certifications for international use. Those approvals include all, or parts of, South America, Australia, Europe and North America.

These VSAT systems are primarily deployed for remote oil and gas exploration locations, as well as on emergency, disaster recovery and satellite news gathering vehicles, tour buses and various types of trailers for maximum reliability in extreme environments.
