[SatNews] CPI Satcom Division has announced its lineup of new high power amplifiers (HPAs) for viewing...

...at NAB 2012. The company is featuring a new high power C‐band, rack‐mount, TWTA as well as a new series of outdoor amplifiers. These products will be shown along with the company’s innovative SuperLinear HPA product line and an array of solid state amplifiers and BUCs.

The model T22CI 2.25 kW CW C-band high power amplifier is ideal for TT&C and broadband multicarrier uplink applications. Providing 2 kW of output power at the flange, it uses far less space and weighs less than traditional two-drawer TWTAs. This HPA comes with the same advanced graphical user interface provided on our SuperLinear HPAs and GEN IV KPAs. Like all of our newer products, CAN-Bus architecture provides enhanced noise immunity and improved reliability.

CPI is also now offering compact outdoor TWTs, ideal for hubmount and DSNG applications. The updated high power HPAs feature internal CAN-Bus M&C architecture for enhanced noise immunity and reliability. They are available as:

• 750 W DBS-band CW and peak power versions
• 1.25 kW SuperLinear Ku-band TWTA
• 750 W Ku-Band CW and peak power versions
• 750 W C-Band CW and peak power versions

The 1.25 kW HPA delivers 540 W of linear power at the flange consuming the same amount of prime power as a typical CW 750 W Ku-band TWTA, which only provides 260 W linear power.
