digiGO! — The Digital (R)Evolution™ — EVS Is An Avid Fan

EVS homepage EVS now delivers file exchange capabilities for Panasonic SD and HD codecs that expand the integration of EVS servers with Avid’s broadcast solutions- for greater workflow flexibility. Integrated workflows between EVS XS and XT[2] servers controlled by MulticamLSM, IPDirector, or the new Insio, as well as Avid® systems such as ISIS and Interplay® were recently demonstrated at the EVS booth during IBC 2009.

Native support of DVCPRO HD and DVCPRO 50 codecs by EVS servers and the Avid Transfer Manager solution allows for efficient and high-speed exchanges between EVS production and Avid post-production systems without deteriorating the native quality. Content recorded on the XT[2] or XS servers during live events or studio recordings can be available directly as MXF OPAtom files, ready to be edited in the Avid Media Composer® timeline. EVS content management software IPDirector combined with XTAccess allow users to manage the generation of MXF OPAtom files and their transfer to Avid broadcast solutions. The import of EVS clips can be managed manually by the operator or automatically using an autoscan application. Final edits can also be transferred back on the EVS platform for reliable, instant playout management.
