Native support of DVCPRO HD and DVCPRO 50 codecs by EVS servers and the Avid Transfer Manager solution allows for efficient and high-speed exchanges between EVS production and Avid post-production systems without deteriorating the native quality. Content recorded on the XT[2] or XS servers during live events or studio recordings can be available directly as MXF OPAtom files, ready to be edited in the Avid Media Composer® timeline. EVS content management software IPDirector combined with XTAccess allow users to manage the generation of MXF OPAtom files and their transfer to Avid broadcast solutions. The import of EVS clips can be managed manually by the operator or automatically using an autoscan application. Final edits can also be transferred back on the EVS platform for reliable, instant playout management.
