SatMAX + Nsite... New Avenues Opened Up (SATCOM)

[SatNews] SatMAX Corporation (Pinksheets:SATM - News), a global provider of wireless, non-line-of-sight satellite communications products and services, has entered into a master teaming agreement with Maryland-based Nsite, LLC.

The agreement will provide SatMAX another government contract avenue and an opportunity to work with multiple government organizations such as the U.S. Marine Corps, the U.S. Army, the Department of Defense, U.S. Strategic Command, the Department of Personnel Recovery and many more. Additionally, the two companies have agreed to jointly develop Nsite's communications security technology with a view toward adapting this technology for use in the mobile satellite system communications established in the FCC National Broadband Plan. SatMAX equipment has already proven to be secure for both data and voice communications during natural disasters. The added level of security will ensure secure, 24/7 communications solutions for SatMAX customers. The agreement will also add SatMAX equipment to a Government Services Administration Contract, allowing existing Nsite U.S. Government customers to purchase SatMAX units directly off the contract.

SatMAX® patented repeater technology enables satellite communications users to quickly and easily make fully wireless voice and data communications from any non-line-of-sight location. Historically limited by the requirement for satellite communications to have line-of-sight access to orbiting satellites, with SatMAX users now have the ability to access dependable and uninterrupted wireless satellite communications; SatMAX technology, for example, enables indoor use of AT&T's new satellite-enabled smart phone. SatMAX equipment is currently used in U.S. military installations, local emergency operations centers, and by industrial/defense companies, such as ITT, SAIC, Harris Corp., and others.
