Broadpeak, the Technicolor spin-off providing content delivery networks (CDN) and video-on-demand (VoD) servers for cable, IPTV, open Internet, and hybrid TV operators worldwide, will be exhibiting at the upcoming Broadcast & Cable Show, to be held Aug. 23-25, at the Imigrantes Exhibition Center in São Paulo, Brazil. Broadpeak has also announced the appointment of four new local distributors, located in Argentina, Brazil, Peru, and Venezuela, that will now provide Broadpeak products and services throughout Latin America. Broadpeak's booth C32 at the Broadcast & Cable Show will display the BkS family of live and on-demand servers that deliver video on managed or open Internet networks to a variety of devices. The flexible and efficient platform provides a unified solution to address video streaming in the popular Adobe® Flash®, Microsoft® Silverlight® smooth streaming, and Apple® HTTP live streaming formats for live and on-demand applications. Also on display will be the company's BkM100 content delivery management system that enables the delivery of content to multiple devices — smoothly and simply. Broadpeak will demonstrate how operators can secure new revenue opportunities for efficient content delivery with the wholesale CDN option, powered by the BkM100 content delivery management system.
In conjunction with the tradeshow, Broadpeak also announced four new distributors in the region that will sell and service the company's entire product line. The distributor network is Line Up in Brazil, Technology Bureau in Argentina, AVCOM in Venezuela, and Video Broadcast in Peru. Broadpeak has also recently opened a new corporate office in Rennes, France, that is fully equipped to provide 24/7 continuous support for its growing network of distributors.
