[SatNews] The optical tranmission, reception and transmission of RF signals is fair game for global product development.
Optribution – Optical Transmission and Distribution of RF Signals – is the cornerstone of DEV Systemtechnik’s participation in the ANGA Cable 2011 conference and trade fair in Cologne, Germany, May 3 to 5, 2011. At Stand G28 in Hall 10.2, DEV will present an extensive spectrum of products for the optical transmission, reception and distribution of RF signals. It covers the entire signal path between antenna and receiver with a multitude of combination possibilities. According to the Company's motto of "less is more," the user obtains more functionality in less devices and at lower cost. Three different Optribution rack chassis and one Outdoor Chassis may be configured with a choice of four transmitter cards with as many as 12 options, four receiver cards with up to three options, optical CWDM multiplexers and demultiplexers and numerous redundancy options to build a large variety of devices. The number of signals to be transported decides the selection of the best fitting Optribution product. The 1RU chassis with two universal slots accepts up to two signals. The 3RU chassis with up to 20 optical slots can handle up to 40 signals plus LNB supply. For the first time ever, DEV shows redundancy options for its 4RU chassis with 16 optical slots which is able to send, receive, distribute (1:8, 16, 32, 64, 128) and switch (4x8, 16, 32 and 4x64) optical RF signals. This allows for a further reduction of device count in many systems.
