
The MENASAT @ CABSAT Satellite Summits are presented by GVF, in cooperation with Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) as part of the CABSAT exhibition, and the CABSAT Academy. GVF’s Summits at CABSAT have developed a reputation for in-depth and invaluable discussions covering the current hot topics for the satellite industry.
This year’s program, which, with other GVF events, will span the entire week from 11th to 15th March 2013 is no exception, and aims to update the industry on important recent developments.

During the CABSAT exhibition days, the embedded GVF MENASAT two-day Summit programs will take place in a dedicated meeting room located immediately above Exhibition Hall 2. The Summits are open to all registered CABSAT attendees. The Summits are held in association with sponsors Eutelsat, Hughes, O3b Networks, and SES.
The Free-to-attend ‘High-Capacity Satellite Summit’ will take place on 13th March, with registration from 11:00 in meeting rooms Hatta G&H, above Hall 2.
This event will provide the satellite, and wider communications industry, an opportunity to engage on advanced satellite system topics. Including the technology and regional market context of high-capacity/ throughput satellites, global and regional satellite operators, and leveraging the high-capacity solution for markets and verticals, amongst other topics.

This event is being held in association with IRG (the satellite Interference Reduction Group), the WBU-ISOG (World Broadcasting Unions-International Satellite Operations Group), the RFI-EUI (Radio Frequency Interference-End Users Initiative), and with the kind participation of the ITU.
Delegates will learn about the challenges of satellite interference specific to the MENA region, and better understand the root causes and possible solutions, as well as contributing to the discussions, covering intentional interference, improper installations, and sub-standard equipment, wireless interference and the spectrum initiative, amongst other hot topics.
