Viaccess, a France Telecom company, has announced that On.Net, the leading Internet Service provider in Macedonia, will deploy Viaccess conditional access platform to launch a new DTT service in Macedonia. On.Net is planning to have more than 200,000 susbscribers in a country of 2 millions inhabitants for its pay-TV services in 2010. VIACCESS will help On.Net to secure a short time to market, thanks to its scalable conditionel access systems, pre-integrated with a large choice of TV systems and STB vendors. To extend its reach, On.Net will be able to leverage on Viaccess’ multi-network (DTT & IP), multi device (PC, Mobile, portable video players,and so on) and home networking solutions. On.net recently reported that its DTT trial, covering the capital Skopje, was very successful. On.Net, owned by Telekom Slovenije since March 2006, plans to offer 50 TV programs, 50 radio programs and datacast, including a 7-day EPG on four DVB-T multiplexes to all territories of Macedonia.
