[SatNews]: Vocality International has launched their BASICS IP Router. This device is a PC104 form factor unit, offering an upgrade route from legacy PC104 based routers to a single board router solution incorporating 2 routable IP ports, a four port switch with PoE (on a routable subnet), TCP acceleration, and satcom link optimization.

The router supports OSPF, RIP, DHCP, Spanning Tree, SSH, VLAN tagging and a wide range of router functionality. It is wrapped in an aluminum heat jacket, and delivered as an OEM kit for integration into tactical communications and networking kits, typically for tactical or mobility users.
