[SatNews] Russia's upper house of parliament has ratified a new agreement with the Ukraine.

On Wednesday, the Russian government authorized an earlier agreement with the Ukraine for the protection of rocket and space technology. The agreement, signed in June 2009, creates a legal framework for further cooperation between the Russian and Ukrainian space industries in protecting rockets and related technologies during mutual exports. The document stipulates that the rockets are guarded by the exporter on the importer's territory and that government agencies would not interfere without reason into the use of the items. Russia's lower house of parliament ratified the agreement last month. It now has to be signed into law by the president. (Source: RIA Novosti)
