SAT Corp's Monic's Ops Called For By ViaSat

SAT Corp MONICS banner Integral Systems, Inc.'s(Nasdaq: ISYS) wholly-owned subsidiary, SAT Corporation, has been selected to provide Satellite Monitoring and Interference Detection capability to broadband gateway Earth stations from ViaSat Inc. (Nasdaq: VSAT) for the previously announced high-capacity KA-SAT Ka-band satellite system. The Tooway service operated by Eutelsat broadband subsidiary Skylogic, is already using SAT Corporation's Monics System to monitor carrier activity and is supplying consumer broadband service using the Eutelsat HOT BIRD6 and Eurobird3 satellites and the ViaSat SurfBeam® networking system.

KA-SAT is a high capacity Ka-band spot beam satellite with planned coverage over Europe, the Middle East, and Northern Africa. With a capacity estimated at 70 Gbps, KA-SAT is expected to be (at launch) the highest capacity satellite in the world. KA-SAT is a European counterpart to ViaSat-1, a Ka-band satellite designed to deliver 100 Gbps of broadband capacity to the North American market,

Monics is a state of the art system that automatically monitors Skylogic's carrier channels using SAT Corporation's Digital Signal Processing technology. The system's unique technology provides carrier signal monitoring and interference detection in a fraction of the time of a classic spectrum analyzer. Monics' algorithms automatically detect, characterize, and display interfering signals, and allow results to be viewed immediately, or any later time. The Monics system will be devoted to Quality of Service monitoring of Skylogic's carriers while detecting interference and/or unauthorized users of the system payloads.
