[SatNews] Arqiva has provided Dolby with worldwide satellite distribution of live video showing celebrities arriving for movie premieres. Arqiva’s satellite services and Digital Cinema platform on IS905 distributes the live HD feed to digitally enabled cinemas across the globe enabling audiences as far afield as Australia, Japan, Mexico and Europe to share the ‘red carpet’ experience.

Arqiva has also signed both a partnership and a re-seller agreement with Italian Digital Cinema service provider Microcinema. Microcinema will use Arqiva’s Digital Cinema platform on the Intelsat IS905 satellite to deliver live alternative content to its network of around 100 cinemas in Italy., Plus, Microcinema willl also promote and sell Arqiva’s IS905 Digital Cinema satellite platform to cinemas throughout Italy.
