C-COM Satellite Systems Inc. (TSXV: CMI) ("C-COM" or the "Company") has received $1,500,000 worth of orders for its iNetVu® mobile antenna products from a number of its Russian resellers. The iNetVu® mobile satellite antenna systems will be used for oil and gas exploration, military communication, satellite news gathering and disaster management. Some of the systems have already shipped this month and all will be delivered before the end of August. A number of antenna systems are configured with the recently announced iNetVu® 7000C controllers, which support the GLONASS satellite navigation system. This modern GPS system is operated by the Russian Space Forces on behalf of the Government of Russia. The same controller already supports the U.S. GPS system and will also support the Chinese Compass and the European Galileo satellite navigation systems. C-COM is one of the first companies in the world offering its Russian and other global customers the benefits of worldwide GPS coverage provided by two satellite navigation systems.
Earlier this month, also reported delivery of $1,152,000 worth of iNetVu® mobile antennas to one of its Asian resellers. This contract (worth $2.3 million) was announced last fiscal year, but due to customer requested delays, it did not ship until this month. The balance of this order should be delivered in the 4th quarter of this fiscal year.
