HaiVision — New Makito Encoding (SatBroadcasting)

HaiVision Network Video today announced that the new MAKITO™ with DVI input is now shipping. Delivering low-latency, full-frame-rate H.264 encoding of HD video (up to 1080p60) or computer graphics resolutions (SXGA up to 1280x1024 60Hz), the new MAKITO supports component analog, DVI, and XGA (RGBHV) inputs. This MAKITO model augments the MAKITO-SDI that was released in 2009 supporting high-definition 3G-SDI and HD-SDI as well as standard-definition SDI, composite, and s-video. The new MAKITO with DVI is unique in providing low-latency H.264 full-frame-rate encoding of computer signals up to 1920x1280 or 1280x1024 at 60 Hz, ideal for delivering high-resolution real-time signage over IP video systems.
