STM Group has announced its subsidiary, STM Norway AS, has a contract for a new SatLink DVB-RCS hub with Telenor Satellite Broadcasting AS (TSBc). The new hub, compliant with the open, international, DVB-RCS standards for MF-TDMA SATCOM nets, is built with full redundancy in all active components. The hub uses STM's latest technology and supports advanced QoS features as well as ACM. STM provides satellite and cell wireless net systems and services for mobile and fixed IP-based telephony, data, and multimedia apps. Telenor Satellite Broadcasting provides fixed and mobile SATCOM and transmission services for data and remote Internet apps, together with VSAT and broadband services, in Europe and the Middle East.
