DEV Systemtechnik... More For Core (SatBroadcasting™)

[SatNews] The first DEV Core Function Product has debuted.

Last year, At the IBC 2011 trade fair, DEV Systemtechnik introduced a a new product series that offers as much as a 70 percent cost savings by reducing devices to their core functionality. Among the first CFP (Core Function Products) series models available are the bi-directional RF switches DEV 1228 (up to 4x1:8) and DEV 1236 (up to 2x1:16). Similar to all DEV CFP models, the new RF switches offer the same superior RF signal transmission quality for which DEV is known worldwide. DEV’s CFP product series can be offered at substantially lower cost than the standard full-featured versions of DEV products because CFP units come without all the extra power supplies, alarm, monitoring, and sensing features provided in DEV’s standard featurepacked top-of-the-line professional models.

Specified for the 10 to 2300 MHz frequency range, DEV’s CFP switches offer excellent RF transmission quality, high isolation, flat frequency response and low ripple. The DEV 1228 supports up to four 1:8 switching units, and the DEV 1236 up to two 1:16 switching units, both models in a compact 1RU chassis. With prices starting at 326 Euro per 1:8 switching unit, DEV’s CFP series RF Switches are designed for cost-sensitive applications in markets in satellite and cable.
