PolarSat... Bursting Out (SATCOM)

[SatNews] PolarSat Inc. has now made available 8-PSK modulation and multi-language user interface support on VSATPlus 3 and users can upgrade their existing units through a software download.

The VSATPlus 3 combines the spectral efficiency of 8-PSK modulation/Turbo product codes (TPC) Forward Error Correction (FEC) in conjunction with space segment savings of integrated Bandwidth on Demand. This combination improves efficiency bi-directionally at link and network levels. VSATPlus 3 is ideally suited for telecommunications operators, satellite service providers, government and military entities and corporate enterprise users. The VSATPlus 3 Multi frequency burst modem dynamically hops on up to 32 carriers allowing the user complete flexibility on connectivity and bandwidth allocation. By supporting these advanced features in a low cost package the VSATPlus 3 reduces both operating and capital expenses. VSATPlus 3 provides a number of language options for local and remote management of the unit. The multi-language support coupled with the ease of use reduces overall support costs and improves the user experience. The VSATPlus family of terminals provides hubless mesh connectivity that is easy to expand. The VSATPlus family continues PolarSat’s 25+ years of satellite modem experience to continue to provide a robust and reliable MF-TDMA, full mesh, hubless product.
