The 2011 Military Communications Conference (MILCOM 2011), co-sponsored by AFCEA International and the IEEE Communications Society, is soliciting unclassified and classified (up to Department of Defense Secret) technical papers as well as proposals for tutorials and panels on networks such as communications and information processing systems and infrastructure, weapons and battlespace technologies.
- Technical Papers – Unclassified Technical Program: The unclassified technical program provides a venue for technical papers that do not contain ITAR-sensitive, classified or proprietary information. Travel grants are available for student authors and presenters.
- Classified Technical Program: Technical papers containing classified (up to DoD Secret) or ITAR-sensitive information are appropriate for the Classified Technical Program only. Attendees or participants in the Classified Technical Program must be a U.S. citizen and possess a current DoD Secret clearance. In addition, papers originated outside the U.S. will not be accepted for the Classified Technical Program.
- Tutorials and Panels: MILCOM 2011 is soliciting proposals for unclassified and classified half-day tutorials and panels about state-of-the-art networking, communications and other technologies.

Important dates to remember... for technical papers, abstracts are due by March 31, 2011, with draft papers due on April 15, 2011. Author notification will occur on June 24, 2011, with final papers due on August 12, 2011. For tutorials and panels, proposals are due on March 18, 2001, and presenters will be notified by April 20, 2011, with all materials due by August 12, 2011.
