Gilat Satcom has successfully launched a Shiron hub in Zimbabwe, expanding its reach throughout the country. The new hub, installed in partnership with Blue Sat Access, a 100 percent Zimbabwe-owned Internet Service Provider, will enable Gilat Satcom to expand its reach throughout the country and region delivering C-band, high-speed service. For many years, Gilat Satcom has taken a major role in providing satellite-based communication services across Africa, providing connectivity solutions to customers in many countries. The launch of the new hub extends Gilat’s local reach and gives customers in Zimbabwe the opportunity to tap into the company’s global and local presence seamlessly with all their domestic, regional and international communication needs. With the establishment of the new hub, Gilat Satcom can now offer comprehensive domestic and international solutions to important user communities who require rapid, robust, secure and cost-effective networks and services such as banks, government offices, education facilities, healthcare providers, and business enterprises. Independent TV channels, DTT operators, DTH operators and cellular operators will also be able to take advantage of Gilat’s comprehensive facilities and professional services including fully-redundant power sourcing and local support.
