Integral Systems | Newpoint Technologies + Comtech EF Data... Pointed In The Correct Direction (SATCOM)

[SatNews] Newpoint Technologies, a wholly owned subsidiary of Integral Systems, has signed a three-year reseller agreement with Comtech EF Data Corporation.

The reseller agreement gives Comtech EF Data the ability to bundle a pre-integrated version of Newpoint Technologies' industry-leading COMPASS Network Management System (NMS) that can be easily installed by Comtech EF Data customers, allowing them to locally or remotely manage their Advanced VSAT Series equipment. COMPASS enhances users' ability to increase operational efficiency, reduce network downtime and ensure a consistent level of service to their customers. In addition, Comtech EF Data's Advanced VSAT Series customers can upgrade their systems to include COMPASS Service Manager. COMPASS Service Manager immediately provides a pre-correlated view of equipment alarms as it relates to revenue generating or tactical lines of communications. Network managers can also view services at risk because of minor alarms on the equipment or when a backup unit is unavailable.

The Advanced VSAT Series from Comtech EF Data delivers industry-leading solutions for cellular backhaul, Universal Service Obligation (USO) networks, corporate networks, ISPs and other applications requiring high-performance IP transport in a "hub-spoke" network environment. Incorporating advanced technologies developed by Comtech EF Data, Comtech AHA and Memotec enable unmatched efficiency in the "hub-spoke" environment. COMPASS and its web-based TrueNorth Graphical User Interface (GUI) provide the industry-leading solution for equipment and network management. COMPASS supports a wide variety of equipment and systems from today's leading manufacturers as well as those of legacy component providers, with a library of more than 1,000 equipment interfaces. It is readily scalable to support a single station's needs or a diverse hybrid communications network infrastructure and large network operations centers.
