Comtech Telecommunctions Increased Funding


TropoScater microwave Comtech Telecommunications Corp. [Nasdaq:CMTL] announced today that its Orlando, Florida subsidiary, Comtech Systems, Inc., has received a $1.6 million increase in funding to its previously announced AN/TRC-170 engineering and support contract, with a total funding to date under this contract is $9.4 million.

Comtech Systems will provide services to support continued fielding of the U.S. Army's AN/TRC-170 terminals. These services will include the inspection and repair of the terminals, and installation of the recently purchased AN/TRC-170 modem upgrade kits. Comtech will also provide formal classroom and practical hands-on training for personnel operating the upgraded AN/TRC-170 terminals. Comtech engineers will support Army field tests and network exercises, and engineering services on Department of Defense troposcatter systems other than AN/TRC-170.
