XipLink Welcomes Trispen Technologies' Intellectual and Capital Assets


Xiplink XipLink, a standards-based wireless optimization has signed an agreement to acquire certain intellectual and capital assets of Pretoria, South Africa based Trispen Technologies, already a long-time partner in providing Security Software for Wireless Network Optimization. The agreement also covers the transfer of Trispen personnel into the newly formed entity, XipLink (Pty) Limited.  All material terms in the transaction have been agreed while the acquisition awaits South African Regulatory Approval. Two key principles of both firms will continue with the combined entity.  Trispen CEO Jaco Botha will become CTO of XipLink, Inc.

“This agreement with Trispen Technologies provides significant additional value for our customers running XipLink Wireless Optimization software” said Jack Waters, CEO of XipLink, Inc.  “With this combination, XipLink will be able to broaden our solutions to include VPN optimization over satellite while also providing more deployment options in devices such as wireless optimization appliances, embedded systems and end-user client packages.” The XipLink South Africa team includes core developers, technical support, sales, marketing, administrative personnel and senior management.  The agreement also establishes South Africa as the support center for Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia, providing additional support in the existing support centers in Montreal and Reston, Virginia.
