C-COM's CEO Speaks About Flyaways At Bilateral Symposium

C-COM Satellite Systems Inc. [TSXV: CMI] global providers of mobile auto-deploying satellite antenna systems, has announced today that Dr. Leslie Klein, President and CEO, has been invited to speak at the Canada-Japan Bilateral Symposium in Tokyo on June 27th, 2011. The event follows the CommunicAsia2011 exhibition in Singapore where C-COM is exhibiting its most advanced satellite antenna systems.

The Bilateral Symposium is being hosted by the Canadian Embassy in Tokyo and will be held on the Embassy grounds; C-COM will be demonstrating its Airline Checkable Flyaway Antenna and vehicle based antenna systems. Over 300 C-COM manufactured iNetVu® mobile antenna systems have been shipped to Japan to assist with the restoration of downed cellular towers in the tsunami affected regions of the country. C-COM’s Japanese reseller, Telemann Communications will be providing a live demonstration of their cellular backhaul solution using the iNetVu® mobile vehicle based antenna system.

Other speakers at the symposium will include Mr. Paul J. Thoppil, C.A, Minister (Commercial), Embassy of Canada in Japan, Mr. Tetsuya Kanesaka, Deputy Director, Advanced Network Division, Telecommunications Business Department, Telecommunications Bureau, Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, Mr. Junichi Miyakawa, Executive Vice President, Director & CTO, Softbank Mobile Corp., Mr Yoshihiro Obata, Vice President, eAccess, Mr. Riaki Hoshino, Executive Manager, Plant Planning Department, Network Business Headquarters, Nippon Telegraph and Telephone East Corporation, Mr. Toshiaki Tateishi, Vice Chairman, Japan Internet Providers Association. 

Mr. Yoshi Kato, President of Telemann Communications will speak about Telemann’s experience with deployment of iNetVu® mobile antennas following the tsunami disaster recovery in Japan.
