They are ramping up for the Cable & Satellite Broadcasting Association of Asia's (CASBAA) 10th CASBAA Satellite Industry Forum on June 14th in Singapore at the Shangri-La Hotel. With the theme
“More than Bandwidth”, the one day event will bring together
global and regional satellite operators, content providers, satellite manufacturers and government officials to exchange key information on the development of the communications sector and related services across the Asia Pacific.
During the Forum, the highly interactive panel sessions will investigate
hot industry issues, including the investment challenges for satellite operators and broadcasters in an uncertain world; DTH demand drivers for the Asia Pacific and an examination of GSM backhaul via satellite and the impact of cloud computing.
According to CASBAA, satellite communications services in the region are in good health. Video services continue to drive satellite demand. Increased mobile penetration continues to astonish, particularly in India. In China, there is no lessening of demand for satellite backhaul for voice and data services.
“The CASBAA Satellite Industry Forum remains the premier event in Asia for satellite market strategy discussions. It also represents an excellent networking platform for all industry leaders,” said
Simon Twiston Davies,
CEO CASBAA.
