IndigoSat homepage banner IndigoSat Pty Ltd, a global provider of aircraft fleet management solutions using SATCOM, announced the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) in Central and South Australia has selected IndigoSat to provide flight tracking and text communication services for its fleet of Pilatus PC-12 turboprop aircraft. The new equipment will streamline fleet management and enhance the security of the aircraft and its occupants, while improving communication capabilities between the aircraft in-flight and RFDS personnel on the ground.

The IndigoSat solutions additionally provide detailed management reports, enabling accurate flight statistics to be recorded and automatically incorporated in billing systems, maintenance tracking software, and can greatly improve efficiency in the management of the aircraft’s operation. In Central and South Australia alone, the RFDS last year conducted more than 13,000 flights — 35 each day — and flew more than 4.5 million kilometers to carry out aeromedical evacuations and remote primary health clinics in the region.
