....62.3 percent in 2010 and leading the satellite industry for the fifth consecutive year. The findings were published in the 12th edition of the COMSYS VSAT Report, released in December 2011. Overall, iDirect remains the world’s second largest VSAT systems manufacturer by hardware sales. The COMSYS report also highlights a number of iDirect’s key technological innovations and important business partnerships behind its continued strong performance: 

  • iDirect awarded contract for Inmarsat Global Xpress Ka-band satellite system – iDirect leveraged its superior technology and reputation for performance to win the contract to develop Inmarsat’s Global Xpress ground network infrastructure. The partnership allows iDirect to accelerate the development of its next-generation VSAT system, equipping the company with a strong offering as Ka-band capacity is set to become a major force in the satellite industry
  • SCPC Return and TDMA united on one platform – Through its iDX 3.0 software release, iDirect established an industry first, enabling its Evolution remote series to operate in either TDMA or SCPC return mode. The breakthrough feature gives service providers the flexibility to adjust capacity based on dynamic application requirements and grow their networks more efficiently and affordably
  • iDirect acquired SatManage – In 2009, iDirect acquired SatManage, a state-of-the-art network management software solution. With the acquisition, iDirect enables service providers to expand existing NOC automation capabilities; significantly improve network monitoring, analysis and issue resolution; and provide a higher level of visibility and responsiveness to end users
