Quake Global... Tech'd Up Tracking (SatCom)

[SatNews] This Company's Q-Pro modem may now be used on the I-4 constellation...

Quake Global, Inc., a manufacturer of asset tracking satellite M2M modems, has now made available their Q-Pro Satellite Data Modem for use on the Inmarsat network. The service will enable QUAKE™ to offer its customers low-cost satellite tracking and data services globally over the Inmarsat-4 satellite constellation. QUAKE is already a leading supplier of satellite modems for the worldwide tracking and data service market, and the addition of Inmarsat’s global satellite coverage will greatly enhance QUAKE’s ability to improve market share.

The Q-Pro is a small, rugged, environmentally-sealed satellite/terrestrial telecommunication solution with numerous customization options and a user-friendly application development environment. This innovation by QUAKE will use the new IsatData Pro service from Skywave. The Q-Pro, when configured for IsatData Pro, will download near real-time messages of up to 10,000 bytes to any device, and send up to 6,400 bytes from the device. This increase in data packet size and transmission speed will allow QUAKE to meet the increasing customer demands for higher data capacity and reduced latency in machine-to-machine (M2M) solutions.
