GeoEye, Inc. (Nasdaq: GEOY) has appointed Dean Edmundson to the position of vice president of Business Development. Edmundson joined GeoEye on December 27, 2010, and is located at the Company's headquarters in Dulles, Virginia. As senior director of Global Business Development for Oracle's Primavera Global Business Unit, Edmundson was responsible for driving top-line revenue growth through their global alliance partners. Prior to joining Oracle, he spent four years leading Global Business Development and Alliances for Primavera Systems, Inc., where he developed a key alliance with Oracle, resulting in Primavera's acquisition. For the five years prior to that, Edmundson managed Global Product Marketing for Primavera, where he led a team responsible for the go-to-market strategies for the engineering and construction; oil, gas and utilities; and chemical vertical markets. Edmundson also served in the United States Air Force and led civil engineering functions.
