Thrane & Thrane and SpeedCast Ltd. have announced the upcoming launch of the SAILOR 900 VSAT antenna system on SpeedCast’s Global Maritime Broadband Network. The SAILOR 900 VSAT represents a leap-forward in VSAT antenna performance. SpeedCast is a pioneer in the delivery of a seamless auto-beam-switching broadband communications service using multiple satellites operating in the Ku-band for maritime customers. This partnership allows the companies to respond to the increasing demand for affordable satellite communications coming from the maritime community. Thrane & Thrane and SpeedCast have agreed to enter into the partnership to provide comprehensive broadband packages comprised of the SAILOR 900 VSAT, and SpeedCast’s network connectivity and value-added services. SAILOR 900 VSAT is designed and built to the exact same standards as Thrane & Thrane’s existing SAILOR products.
