[SatNews] When a product and technology wins a major award, 'tis a win-win.
XipLink, a technology leader in wireless optimization, has announced that the company’s XipLink Hub Optimizations (XHO) product has been named as the Teleport Technology of the Year by the World Teleport Association. The XipLink XHO solution provides teleport and network operators immediate bandwidth savings on outbound web traffic as well as providing sophisticated class-based queuing for IP traffic management purposes and split PEP operation to optimize TCP sessions on both the outbound satellite path and the Internet backhaul access. The innovations include simplicity of deployment as a hub side only device and the ability to selectively “bracket” remote connections for full two-way TCP, UDP and web optimizations at a capital efficient price. “XipLink is grateful to the World Teleport Association for selecting XHO as the technology of the year,” said Jack Waters, XipLink CEO. “We are honored to be recognized for the impact XHO has made on the industry. More specifically, we are extremely pleased to be able to provide Teleport or Network Operators a higher level of service thus becoming more competitive with wire-line technologies. Our customers, employees and advisors deserve the highest accolades for translating market requirements into a world class product.”
The 2011 Luncheon and Awards Ceremony hosted many of the world’s leading teleport operators and previous winners of WTA’s Teleport Awards for Excellence. A senior representative from SES, Chris Schram, gave the Host's Welcome and presented the awards to the recipients, with WTA Director of Development Louis A. Zacharilla announcing the winners.
