International Datacasting Corporation has received the Canadian Manufacturers and Exporters Regional Award for New Technology for the Ontario Region.
Handed out annually, the award recognizes innovative excellence in the development, adoption, and application of new technology in process or products. The Canadian Manufacturers and Exporters Innovations Insights is designed to help Canadian SME's achieve business excellence. IDC received the award for their launch of SFX Duo line of receivers, part of the Company's Superflex family of DVB-S2 products. The Duo line of receivers are next generation DVB-S2 multicasting products that are capable of reaching ultra-high throughput performance and multi-carrier operation for a number of high bandwidth point-to-multipoint broadband applications that include IPTV, digital cinema, digital radio networks, syndicated television, and HDTV. The SFX4104 Duo is in production and currently being deployed as part of a large upgrade and expansion of an international broadband data delivery network. Initial research and development work on the SFX Duo products was partially funded by the European Space Agency, (ESA).
