Under the terms of the award, AT&T Government Solutions will deploy a data network solution for the U.S. Army installation located at Grafenwoehr, Germany, the home of the 7th Army Joint Multinational Training Center (JMTC), considered to be the Army's premier overseas training area. AT&T Government Solutions will also perform additional outside plant construction and extend the data network for Rose Barracks based in Vilseck, Germany, which is close to Grafenwoehr. AT&T Government Solutions will deliver outside plant construction services and install and test the data network that will support Army personnel at 600 JMTC buildings.
The awards were issued to AT&T Government Solutions by the Product Manager Defense Communications Systems (PM DSC-E) - Europe via the U.S. Army Infrastructure Modernization (IMOD) contract, an indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) vehicle that serves as a streamlined venue for the Army to conduct network infrastructure upgrades while seamlessly integrating data, voice, inside/outside cable plant and transmission products and services. PM DSC-E is part of the Network Service Center Project Management Office, an organization of the Army Program Executive Office, Enterprise Information Systems.
