Arianespace And MEASAT Award A Space In Space Studies

MEASAT Satellite Systems Sdn. Bhd.'s (“MEASAT”) announcement today that Andrew Lee Chee Hau, an Executive at the company, had been awarded a fully paid scholarship to pursue a Masters Degree in Space Studies at the prestigious International Space University in Strasbourg, France.

The MEASAT scholarship program, started in 2006, provides graduates an opportunity to study at top international universities to further their knowledge of satellite communications. The program is in line with MEASAT’s focus on supporting the development of future technology leaders for Malaysia’s space industry. The Masters’ Degree scholarship is offered by MEASAT with the support of Arianespace.

“Arianespace offers its full support to MEASAT and applauds its efforts to encourage education and knowledge in our sector of activity and we congratulate Andrew Lee for winning this award,” said Jean-Yves Le Gall, Chief Executive Officer, Arianespace.

“MEASAT’s CSR program is focused on the development of international technology leaders for the advancement of Malaysia’s space industry. A key part of this program is the focus on the professional development of our staff,“ said Paul Brown-Kenyon, Chief Executive Officer, MEASAT. “We are delighted to congratulate Andrew Lee on being selected to receive this scholarship award.”

MEASAT is currently showcasing its services during the 23rd International Communications and Information Technology Exhibition and Conference (CommunicAsia 2012) from 19 – 22 June.
