SES... HD+ Gains 14th Content Deliverer (SatBroadcasting™)


[SatNews] SES (Euronext Paris and Luxembourg Stock Exchange: SESG) has announced that...

...DMAX HD has joined the HD+ platform in Germany as the 14th commercial broadcaster, as of May 1st. DMAX is a free-to-air program of Discovery Communications offering documentations, features and factual entertainment. From May 1st the HD+ lineup will now include the following encrypted channels: RTL HD, Sat.1 HD, ProSieben HD, VOX HD, kabel eins HD, RTL II HD, SUPER RTL HD, N24 HD, TELE 5 HD, SPORT1 HD, DMAX HD, Nickelodeon HD, sixx HD, and COMEDY CENTRAL HD.

From May 1st, viewers with an HD+ receiver will have 32 encrypted and unencrypted free-to-air HD channels from which to select:

  • The free-to-air HD channels that are already on air today (Anixe HD, QVC HD, HSE 24 HD, ServusTV HD, sonnenklar.tv HD)
  • The 14 encrypted commercial broadcasters of HD+
  • The ten additional public free-to-air broadcasters in HD that also start on May 1st (3sat HD, BR HD, KI.KA HD, NDR HD, PHOENIX HD, SWR HD, WDR HD, ZDFinfokanal HD, ZDF.kultur HD, ZDFneo HD)
  • The existing public HD channels ARD HD, ZDF HD, and arte HD
