Globecomm Systems Inc. (NASDAQ: GCOM) has appointed Tom Coyle as Senior Vice President and General Manager, Globecomm Systems. In his new position, Tom will be responsible for managing the Globecomm Systems business. This work includes design, provisioning, and management of complex, satellite based, communication networks, end-to-end solutions and system products. Mr. Coyle's business focus will be on leveraging the combined capabilities of Globecomm Systems, Technology and Operations teams to implement a variety of nexgen network solutions. He will also be responsible for the processes and procedures for program implementation, and network provisioning and transitioning networks to service operations. Mr. Coyle has more than 30 years of experience in satellite network design, implementation, and management. In his previous position as Vice President of Globecomm Systems, he led teams that successfully implemented large international IP networks; terrestrial radio broadcast networks and an ATM-over-satellite network solution.
